Lisa Nowak was a former NASA astronaut who gained public attention in 2007 when she was arrested for the attempted kidnapping of Colleen Shipman, who was dating Nowak’s former romantic interest, fellow astronaut William Oefelein. Nowak drove from Houston to Orlando wearing adult diapers to avoid making stops during her journey. She was arrested in a parking lot at the Orlando International Airport and her mugshot was taken. Nowak ultimately pleaded guilty to charges of burglary and misdemeanor battery. Nowak pleaded guilty in 2009 and was sentenced to a year of probation. The following year, Nowak was discharged from the Navy.

She now lives in Texas and works in the private sector.
